Clarence Clemons (1942-2011)
Somehow it just doesn't seem possible that the unique saxophone voice I have listened to my entire life is so suddenly silenced.

Somehow it just doesn't seem possible that the unique saxophone voice I have listened to my entire life is so suddenly silenced. Clarence was way too young to have been taken out at a this point of his life. I find myself wondering if his tenor will be enshrined in a glass case as Cannonball Adderley's alto was after his passing many years ago. It just doesn't seem right to pass that baton on for some other player unless that players happened to be a family member.
One way or another, the world is much quieter now, and not in a peaceful way. We will miss your presence, your growl, and your class. Rest in peace, Clarence Clemons. You will be greatly missed.
