I'm in the process of building a small, portable Leslie cabinet that can be used on location and in the project studio. I got hold of the single baffle Leslie, which was taken out of a console organ, a few months ago and just haven't had the opportunity to build the cabinet yet. The most difficult part of this will be building the remote switching for the different speeds, since it is a two speed unit. Anyone have experience building remote controllers for their Leslies? My ears are open...
Acoustic treatment is on its way. One thing I've always wanted to do is further treat my room so that I don't have to compensate for the weaknesses of my mixing space. It will make a huge difference in my workflow! Those of you who have done so can attest to this fact. Just a few corner bass traps, some repositioning of studio furniture, and some baffles for dampening the upper and mid range sounds and my room will be much better.
Now, on to that power supply fan... ;)
