    A Great Concert

    Last night's performance was excellent. The orchestra outdid itself with the performance of the Prokofiev, which has some incredibly difficult spots throughout.

    That's exactly what we'll be sending this evening: lots of love. Catch the Blue Ridge Orchestra this evening performing selections from Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet" as well as a solo performance of the Tchaikovsky Concerto for Violin and Orchestra featuring young soloist Katie Thomas.

  • Below are some highlights of projects MyersMedia has been involved with over the past few years

    ARTSEDGE
    Michael has been busy working with the educational branch of the Kennedy Center called ARTSEDGE, which specializes is bringing music into the educational world. Having a great love of teaching and arts education Michael was honored to assist in any way possible for this group's purpose. Please, check them out if you love music or have an interest in music education. The Kennedy Center is an incredible organization!


    The Nameless MOD
    After being in development for many, many years The Nameless MOD has been released. Michael always enjoyed the Deus Ex games for their complex storylines and was happy to be involved with this project. The development team crossed every t and dotted every i creating a rich, deep environment with a great storyline that will not disappoint. You can hear Michael doing some voiceover acting in two separate parts. Go grab your old copy of Deus Ex and install this one NOW!


    The Dark MOD
    Being a huge fan of the Thief series of games, Michael discovered this MOD for the Doom3 engine set within a Thief-like universe. He simply had to become involved and began sound design as well as ambient music for this project. The whole MOD team is incredibly talented and will really shine against many of the other MODs out there.


    Red Cross
    Michael teamed up with Oddkid Productions supplying on location sound recording, clean up and mastering as well as composition of the music for one of the Red Cross' training films. This particular film was a diversity training video to be supplied to the American Red Cross' Southeast regional offices.

  • Michael R. Myers
    Michael R. Myers (multi-instrumentalist, composer, arranger, producer) is a native of the western Appalachian mountains in North Carolina. His experience has led him down many different roads, having performed and worked side-by-side with many greats like: Chris Vadala (Chuck Mangione Quartet), Lenny Pickett (Saturday Night Live Band, Tower of Power), Ernie Watts (The Tonight Show, The Color Purple), Barbara McNair (The Barbara McNair Show), Ed Shaughnessy (The Tonight Show Band), Loonis McGlohan, Steve Hansgen (Minor Threat), Stephen Pollock (New Century Saxophone Quartet), WLOS-13's Bob Caldwell, and many others. He has also made numerous appearances performing with different groups such as the Lenoir Saxophone Ensemble, the Nouveau Passé Orchestra, the Western Piedmont Symphony, the Blue Ridge Orchestra, the Asheville Symphony, the Nelson Riddle Orchestra, the Buddy K Big Band, The Temptations, as well as many other combos and bands in the United States and performances in Europe.

    Now his music and other work can be found in projects for the Kennedy Center, the Red Cross, the DarkMOD, The Nameless MOD, and more.

    Michael also teaches woodwinds privately and at Montreat College.
